This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I am currently a Director at Wayforward with 6+ years of game industry experience under my belt so far. I love the 16-bit SNES era of games and their visuals, and with each painting I strive to celebrate the beauty of the art from elements within the games.
The main reason I started painting is simply because there aren't enough true representations of game art in the world aside from pixel bead art. Anytime you do come upon pixel art in print form there is some other kitsch element thrown into the mix (phrases like "old school", off-kilter alignments, spray paint junk, other hot topic messes, etc). Rarely is the true form of the pixel given the respect it deserves and just put out there in its purest form for all to enjoy.
This is the only "real" art I make anymore these days, so it is all I expect to be sharing on this site. The experience of painting these has been relaxing and rewarding, and I have plans for many more to come. Sure I could have these things printed up from images online, but there is something beautiful about the mistakes and inconsistencies of the paint up close which give it a visceral feel which I absolutely love.
I hope you enjoy my work and check in from time to time to see what else I have completed.
Current Residence: Northridge, CA Favourite cartoon character: Goofy and Donald, together.
Thanks! I'm also criminally under-painting right now (as in not painting enough, not painting base layers of paint.) Really though the hardest thing is mixing the colors, and thats the most anyone could get from me as an apprentice, so take a bunch of color theory classes and some acrylic painting classes, practice, and the rest is easy.
